I Am Me

I am woman, I am me!

My past may define me, 

but I am who I was inspired to be!

I started in the mud,

but that's where all roots grow,

Then I grew up,

and blossomed in my growth,

Unprepared for the hate that could follow,

For choosing to face the fire of fears that created my mold, 

I still choose to remain humble,

because I made peace with my past, 

and I made a promise to myself that I will not let anything drag us back after all that real hard work to set me free, from the burdens, burdening me. Now I no longer feel like that reflection of me creating those false realities!
